Description
ES COMANDOR soybean is a semi-determinate, ultra-early variety (maturity group 000) with a vegetative period of 90–95 days and approximately 2400 heat units (CHU). This variety is characterized by high yield and occupies favorable positions within its maturity group, making it attractive for cultivation in steppe and forest-steppe zones. The seeds have a spherical shape, yellow seed coat, and light hilum, which allows their use in the food industry.
One of the key advantages of the ES COMANDOR variety is its high protein content, reaching 40.8–42%, as well as significant oil content — over 20.7%. These characteristics make the variety especially valuable for further processing and food production. Additionally, the thousand-seed weight is approximately 186 grams, and the lower pod attachment height is 11.9 cm, which facilitates agronomic practices.
The variety exhibits high resistance to lodging and cracking (up to 90%), as well as to various diseases, including bacterial diseases. It tolerates water deficit and drought, ensuring stable yields under adverse conditions. The only limitation regarding the use of agrochemicals is related to pendimethalin-based products. The recommended seeding rate is 600–650 thousand viable seeds per hectare, with row spacing of 12.5–30 cm, which optimizes plant growth and development.
