Mavka

Soybean variety Mavka was included in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine in 2013 and is recommended for cultivation in all natural-climatic zones of the country, including Polissia, forest-steppe, and steppe. This early-maturing variety has a vegetation period of 98–100 days and can form grain yields on chernozem at standard moisture level of 14%, reaching 40–47 centners per hectare, which corresponds to a potential yield of approximately 4.0 tons per hectare. Plant height ranges from 80 to 110 cm, ensuring good resistance to lodging and seed shattering.

One of the distinctive features of the Mavka variety is the increased number of pods per plant and a high percentage of four-seeded pods, reaching up to 40%. The 1000-grain weight varies from 180 to 200 g, with seed uniformity reaching 95%. Protein content in the grain ranges from 39–41%, and oil content ranges from 17 to 22%, making this variety attractive for both food and technical raw material production.

For optimal cultivation, the recommended seeding rate is 550–650 thousand viable seeds per hectare, with row spacing of 45 cm and planting depth of 3–6 cm. The variety exhibits high resistance to major diseases and stress factors, contributing to stable production of high-quality yields. The producer of this variety is the company «Soєvий вік».
