MEZENKA

Soja variety Mezenka is a very early-maturing variety recommended for cultivation in the Kursk, Lipetsk, and Tambov regions. Plants of this variety have an indeterminate growth type, a height of about 75.8 cm, with gray pubescence on the main stem and white flowers. Seeds are small, spheroid-flattened, yellow in color with a yellow hilum, with a mass of 1000 seeds being 142.1 g. The variety is characterized by an early onset of flowering and uniform maturity, which facilitates harvesting by direct combining.

Mezenka is distinguished by its high nutritional value: protein content in seeds reaches 36.4%, and fat content — 23.2%. Plants are resistant to leaf and pod diseases, which increases crop reliability. The variety responds well to nitrogen fertilization and to a certain extent to mineral nitrogen, which allows for the effective use of fertilizers to increase productivity.

The vegetative period of the variety is about 105–107 days, which confirms its early maturity. Yield in the recommended regions averages 21.4 c/ha, while maximum yield indicators can reach 39.9 c/ha, which was recorded in the Kursk region. The attachment height of the lower pod is 14.9 cm, which facilitates harvesting and reduces losses during crop collection.
