MILL RIF

MILL RIF is an early soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) variety intended for cultivation in the Central-Black Earth Region. The growing period is 100–110 days, allowing for a harvest in a short time. The plant is determinate, of medium and high height (75–95 cm), with characteristic features: hypocotyl with anthocyanin pigmentation, reddish-brown pubescence on the main stem, and purple flowers. The height of the first pod attachment is within 12–14 cm, and the lateral leaflets have an acutely ovate shape. Seeds are yellow with a light brown hilum. The variety is distinguished by high productivity and grain quality. The mass of 1000 seeds is about 148 g, protein content in seeds reaches 39.5 %, and oil content is 15 %. The average yield in the region is 24.1 c/ha, while the best yield indicators (up to 41.1 c/ha) were achieved under conditions of the Malo-Arkhangelsky GUS of the Oryol region. MILL RIF is particularly effective when grown on irrigated lands and is recommended for regions with precipitation levels of 500–650 mm. For optimal growth and development of the variety, it is recommended to maintain a row spacing of up to 45 cm and a sowing rate of 485–550 thousand viable seeds per hectare. Thanks to its characteristics and adaptation to the conditions of the Central-Black Earth Region, MILL RIF is a reliable choice for obtaining a high soybean yield with high protein and oil content.
