Description
Corrida KWS — a unique normal-type sugar beet hybrid developed for record yields under favorable conditions. This hybrid is characterized by high initial growth energy at the beginning of vegetation, enabling efficient use of soil moisture reserves. The main root mass increase occurs at the end of summer and beginning of autumn, while maximum sugar content is reached during the mid-autumn period, making October the optimal harvest time. Average yield of Corrida KWS varies from 68.2 to 73.9 tons per hectare, and under favorable conditions can reach 78.7–96.3 tons per hectare. The sugar content of the hybrid ranges from 18.14% to 21.35%, ensuring high sugar yield.
The Corrida KWS hybrid exhibits increased resistance to most pathogenic diseases, including rhizomania, cercosporosis, and powdery mildew. Additionally, it is tolerant to nematodes, allowing cultivation on nematode-infested fields without significant yield losses. Thanks to these qualities, Corrida KWS is suitable for cultivation in various soil-climate zones with appropriate agrofond, making it a universal solution for farmers.
KWS, the developer of the hybrid, conducts thorough trials of its varieties in different regions of Russia, using advanced sowing, crop care, and harvesting technologies, as well as methods for assessing raw material quality. This allows precise determination of the potential of new hybrids and guarantees their high yield and quality. Corrida KWS is part of KWS’s successful sugar beet variety line, supported by the company throughout the entire season, including consultations and digital support, which contributes to effective cultivation and maximum utilization of the hybrid’s potential.
