FD Sokol — sugar beet hybrid, intended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including Volgo-Vyat, North Caucasus and Central Chernozem. Plants of this variety have medium height and are characterized by strong glossiness of leaf blades with moderate intensity of green coloration. Root mass is approximately 559 grams, contributing to high yield and efficient sugar harvesting.
FD Sokol variety is distinguished by high productivity and sugar content. In the Volgo-Vyat region, yield reaches 552.8 centners per hectare with sugar content of 19.5%, ensuring sugar harvest of 107.3 centners per hectare. In the Central Chernozem region, yield is around 512 centners per hectare with sugar content of 17.8%, while in the North Caucasus region — 451-507.7 centners per hectare with sugar content ranging from 17.5% to 18.6%. These indicators make FD Sokol an advantageous choice for sugar industry.
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major sugar beet diseases, including root maggots and powdery mildew, and shows low susceptibility to cercosporosis.
