Antei

Sunflower Antey is a medium-early hybrid of Ukrainian selection, registered in the State Register in 2015. It is characterized by high yield, reaching 4.3 t/ha, and high oil content in seeds — 50-52%. Plants reach a height of 165-175 cm, have a large kernel and flower head diameter of 23-25 cm. The vegetation period lasts 107-111 days, and the root system develops to a depth of 1.5-2.0 meters. The hybrid is resistant to A-E strains of downy mildew and common sunflower diseases, ensuring stable yield and high product quality. Antey has high resistance to lodging and drought, making it suitable for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine, including the south, center, east, as well as the North Caucasus, Central Chernozem, and Lower Volga regions of Russia. The hybrid is adapted to minimal and zero tillage technologies, enabling efficient use of modern agronomic methods. The recommended planting density is 4 plants per linear meter, corresponding to 50-55 thousand plants per hectare depending on the growing zone. A distinctive feature of the Antey hybrid is its high resistance to sulfonylurea herbicides such as Granstar, Trizlak, Express, and Grozny. This allows applying herbicides during the vegetation period for effective control of annual and perennial broadleaf weeds, including docks, without harming yield. The herbicide application rate is 30 g/ha single application or twice at 15 g/ha. This treatment method helps save costs on inter-row treatments and ensures weed control even under drought conditions. Thanks to these characteristics, sunflower Antey is a reliable choice for modern farmers seeking high productivity and quality harvests.
