CS Canaria SU

Sunflower CS Canaria SU is a medium-maturing, intensive-type hybrid with high plasticity and adaptability to various climatic conditions. Plants reach a height of 150-170 cm, with a semi-convex head of 18-22 cm diameter, leaning halfway down. The 1,000-seed mass ranges from 50 to 65 g, contributing to a good yield potential of 4.4 t/ha and more than 50 c/ha under optimal conditions. The hybrid features a strong root system and high leafiness, ensuring good early growth and resistance to adverse factors. CS Canaria SU exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including various races of downy mildew (A-G) and rust (A-E), and is tolerant to sulfonylurea-based herbicides such as Express PX and tribenuron-methyl. This allows effective weed control without harming the crop. The hybrid demonstrates high genetic immunity and resistance to lodging, promoting stable yield formation even under water deficit conditions. The oil content in CS Canaria SU sunflower seeds ranges from 46% to 52%, making it attractive for the oil industry. The recommended seeding rate depends on soil moisture levels: 40-45 thousand seeds per hectare under water deficit, and 55-60 thousand/ha under sufficient moisture. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones, including steppe and forest-steppe regions, ensuring broad applicability and high economic efficiency for farmers.
