Description
ELVAS is a high-oil linoleic hybrid of sunflower, distinguished by high yield and adaptability to various soil and climate conditions. The plants reach a height of 168-180 cm, have a medium-sized head with a diameter of about 24 cm, which turns down halfway at maturity. The seeds are narrow-oval in shape, medium thickness, with a black main color and gray stripes along the edges. The oil content of the hybrid is between 45% and 50%, which ensures high efficiency in oil production.
The vegetative period is about 115 days, which classifies ELVAS as a mid-season or early hybrid. The hybrid demonstrates resistance to main sunflower diseases, including phoma, phomopsis, gray mold, and downy mildew, as well as tolerance to tribenuron-methyl and sunflower moth. Special attention is paid to resistance to rust, where the hybrid shows resistance to races A-E, which significantly reduces the risk of yield loss.
ELVAS is recommended for cultivation throughout Ukraine, including various agro-climatic zones. The recommended sowing density is 55,000-60,000 seeds per hectare. The hybrid is well adapted to Conventional and Express cultivation technologies, which allows for effective use in modern agro-technical systems. High drought resistance and stable yield potential up to 55 c/ha make ELVAS an attractive choice for farmers seeking quality and high-yield sunflower crops.
