Description
Sunflower KHOROL is a medium-early hybrid with a vegetation period of about 100 days, intended for obtaining a high-quality oilseed crop. This hybrid is characterized by stable productivity and high adaptability to various soil-climatic conditions, making it suitable for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones with varying moisture levels. Plants are medium-height, with a strong stem and large heads of 25-27 cm in diameter, which contributes to high yields.
KHOROL demonstrates high productivity, with average yields ranging from 4.3 to 4.8 tons per hectare, and the maximum yield recorded over the years reached 5.3 tons per hectare. The hybrid has high oil content in seeds — 51-53%, with a husk content of 20-22%. The recommended plant density at harvest depends on the cultivation zone: in the forest-steppe zone — 55-60 thousand plants per hectare, in the steppe zone — 50-55 thousand. Due to its ecological plasticity, KHOROL is resistant to drought and common sunflower diseases, including rust, white and gray rot, fomosis, and is resistant to six races of downy mildew and tolerant to false powdery mildew.
The hybrid is not demanding in cultivation technology and responds well to mineral fertilizer application, which allows increasing yields by 0.6-0.8 tons per hectare. Thanks to its morphological uniformity and synchronized passage through all phases of organogenesis, KHOROL ensures uniform ripening and ease of harvest. These characteristics make sunflower KHOROL a profitable choice for farmers seeking a stable and high oilseed yield.
