The Nadiinyi sunflower hybrid, developed by experts at the Institute of Oilseed Crops of the NAAS, is a product of breeding focused on minimizing production risks in the volatile climate of Ukraine. This simple hybrid is built on a strategy of intensive oil accumulation, with content reaching 50-55%, making it highly attractive for both processors and growers.

Biological Potential and Morphology

The plant height ranges from 170 to 190 cm. This morphology ensures stability during mechanical harvesting and allows the plant to efficiently utilize solar energy throughout the 110-120 day growing season. The mid-early maturity helps the hybrid avoid peak summer heat, which is critical for forming a high-quality kernel.

Technical Barrier Against Pathogens

The resistance of Nadiinyi is based on a multi-level defense system against a complex of fungal diseases:

• White and Grey rot: genetically encoded mechanisms prevent mycelial penetration into plant tissues.
• Phomopsis and Powdery mildew: selective breeding has minimized damage to the leaf apparatus, preserving the photosynthetic surface until the end of the cycle.
• Rust: high tolerance to the pathogen ensures stem and leaf integrity even under high humidity conditions.
