Description
SPK PLUS — a high-yielding, mid-season sunflower variety for confectionery purposes, suitable for cultivation under various climatic conditions. The plant reaches a height of 190-210 cm and is characterized by large seeds with a weight of up to 150 g per 1000 seeds. The vegetation period is approximately 98-120 days, allowing effective use of the variety in different regions. The flower head diameter varies from 18 to 25 cm, facilitating harvest convenience and high product quality.
The variety is distinguished by high oil content in seeds — from 45.2% to 48% — as well as increased protein content, making it particularly valuable for the confectionery industry. SPK PLUS exhibits good honey production potential and resistance to drought, cold, lodging, downy mildew, and a broad spectrum of diseases (groups A–E). These characteristics ensure stable yields and high seed quality even under adverse conditions.
To achieve maximum yield, which can reach up to 34 c/ha and more, it is recommended to use classical cultivation technology with pre-sowing seed treatments. The variety successfully grows in various regions, including Ukraine and southern areas of Russia, demonstrating high adaptability and stable performance. SPK PLUS is an optimal choice for farmers and agronomists focused on producing high-quality confectionery sunflower.
