Agronomic Profile and Disease Resistance

The hybrid's core strength lies in its comprehensive genetic resistance to common pathogens. Stayer demonstrates high resilience against:

• White and Grey rot, and Septoria.
• Various leaf spot diseases, including Mycosphaerella.
• Rust, Phomopsis, and Phoma.
• Powdery mildew and Alternaria.

Its resistance to Peronospora (downy mildew) is crucial for high-humidity regions where fungal pressure is a constant threat to yield. Standing at 160–170 cm, the hybrid features an architecture well-suited for efficient mechanical harvesting.

Production Specifications

With a vegetation period of 100–110 days, Stayer falls into the mid-early maturity group, allowing for flexible crop rotation and timely field clearance for winter crops. Its oil content, ranging between 50–55%, makes it an attractive asset for processing facilities seeking high-quality yields.

A major competitive advantage of Stayer is its integration into the Clearfield production system. Resistance to imidazoline-group herbicides (Euro-Lightning) drastically simplifies the control of broomrape and broad-spectrum weeds during early growth stages.
