ROVNYA

Rovnya is a spring triticale variety, a grain crop obtained by crossing wheat and rye. This variety is intended for grain-feed use and is characterized by high yield, resistance to adverse weather conditions such as drought and frost. Rovnya adapts well to various soil types and climatic zones, making it in demand among agricultural producers. The plant has an erect or semi-erect bush, medium height, and a short flowering period, which contributes to timely crop maturity.

The ear of the Rovnya variety is white, cylindrical, of medium length and density, and fully awned. The plant is resistant to lodging and grain shattering, which facilitates harvesting and reduces losses. The waxy coating on the flag leaf sheath is moderately to strongly expressed, and the density of stem neck pubescence varies from medium to strong. Protein content in the grain ranges from 12.6% to 14.1%, ensuring high biological value and good feed properties. Protein collection per unit area reaches 2.7-4.4 c/ha.

The Rovnya variety demonstrates high yield in various regions of Russia, including the Northwestern, Central, Volga-Vyatka, Central-Black Earth, and Far Eastern regions. Average yield by region ranges from 24 to 28 c/ha, with maximum indicators reaching 71.5 c/ha in the Central region and 46.2 c/ha in the Far East. Rovnya has good resistance to diseases such as bunt, rust, powdery mildew, and septoria, which reduces the need for intensive plant protection and increases crop stability.
