Description
Winter triticale of the variety KROHA® is a highly productive grain variety intended for growing for food, fodder grain, and green mass. This variety is characterized by high yield and good grain quality, which makes it in demand in agronomic practice. The plants are of medium height, short, with a white ear of medium length and density, fully awned. The grain is large, oval-elongated, hairy, and yellow, indicating its high quality.
The KROHA variety has good winter hardiness, exceeding the average standard, and frost hardiness at the standard level. Heading time is medium-late. The variety also exceeds average indicators in resistance to lodging and shattering, which contributes to yield preservation. The average mass of 1000 grains is 37.5 grams. Under field conditions, the variety demonstrates resistance to major diseases: no infection by powdery and hard head smut, septoria, and ear fusarium has been noted. Powdery mildew affects the variety very weakly, bunt – weakly, brown rust – moderately, and snow mold – strongly.
The yield of the KROHA variety is high and stable. The average yield in the region is about 23 centners per hectare, which is 11.6% higher than the standard. Maximum yield indicators reached 62.2 centners per hectare in the Mordovia GSIS in 2013 and 62.8 centners per hectare in agro-ecological trials at the Samara NIIISh in 2008. Over ten years, the average yield of the variety was 3.84 tons per hectare, which exceeds the standard indicator of 3.45 tons per hectare. All these characteristics make the KROHA variety a reliable choice for agricultural production in the corresponding climatic conditions.
