Bartesa

The Bartesa vegetable pea is an early-maturing sweet variety, ready for harvesting green peas 41-45 days after emergence. The plant reaches a height of 50-70 cm, with a short stem, and the lower pods are located at a height of 22-35 cm. The pods are long, broad, flat, slightly curved with a pointed tip, and in technical maturity, they have a light green color without a parchment layer. The taste quality of the peas is excellent, making this variety popular for fresh consumption, as well as for canning and freezing.

The Bartesa variety is distinguished by its high nutritional value, containing all essential amino acids, bringing its nutritional value close to primary food products such as milk, eggs, and meat. The peas are balanced in protein and B-vitamins, whose content is 1.5-2 times higher than in bread. This makes green peas not only delicious but also very beneficial, easy to grow in a home garden.

The Bartesa pea is cold-resistant, seedlings withstand frosts down to –6 °C, and it is not demanding of soil fertility.
