Esprit

The vegetable pea variety ESPRIT is a mid-season shelling variety intended for fresh consumption, freezing, and canning. The maturation period ranges from 62 to 71 days, allowing the peas to be used for early harvest as well as for harvesting at technical maturity. The plants are medium-height with stem lengths of 70-80 cm, leaves are large with a waxy coating, and flowers are white and large. The variety is characterized by synchronous maturation and is suitable for mechanized harvesting, which facilitates the harvest process.

ESPRIT pea pods are 9-10 cm long, medium width, and have a weak-medium curvature. At technical maturity, they are green and dark green in color with a parchment layer, containing 7-8 light green peas that are distinguished by their sweet taste, juiciness, and tenderness. The height of attachment of the lower pods is 28-34 cm, and the yield of shelled peas from the pods reaches 42-49%. Seeds are of medium and large size with green cotyledons.

The variety has high yield ranging from 44 to 67 centners per hectare, corresponding to the standards of leading varieties. Due to its taste qualities and versatility of application, the ESPRIT variety is widely used for fresh consumption, freezing, and canning, making it an excellent choice for growing both in personal holdings and in industrial production.
