Description
The Vinco vegetable pea variety is a mid-season variety with high yield and excellent taste qualities, both fresh and canned. The pods of this variety are slightly curved with a pointed tip, about 11 cm long and 1.2-1.3 cm wide, containing 9-10 dark green seeds. The variety is resistant to fusarium, which increases its reliability in cultivation.
Vinco plants are medium-height, about 50-55 cm tall, with a vegetation period of about 72 days from emergence to harvest. Peas are recommended to be grown on well-lit areas with any type of soil, except acidic and heavy soils with high groundwater levels, which are unsuitable for cultivation. Sowing is carried out early in spring to a depth of 4-5 cm, and it is important not to delay sowing, as even a slight delay reduces plant productivity.
For successful growth, Vinco requires adequate moisture during flowering. The optimal temperature for seed germination is around +4°C, and for growth and development — around +18°C. The recommended plant density is 80-110 plants per square meter, seed sowing rate — 10-30 g per square meter. The Vinco variety is excellent for fresh consumption and canning, making it a versatile and popular vegetable pea.
