Description
Watermelon Ataman is distinguished by high resistance to major diseases of melon crops, as well as its ability to withstand drought and high solar activity. It prefers light, sandy, and neutral soils and requires regular watering and fertilization. Thanks to its dense, thick rind, the fruits withstand long-distance transportation well and can be stored under certain conditions for up to two months.
The flesh is a deep red color, uniform, granular, and crisp, with a high sugar content — 10-11%, which ensures a very sweet taste. The main purpose of this variety is fresh market sales during the main season, but it is also suitable for pickling and preservation. This hybrid is valued by farmers for its ease of cultivation, high productivity, and excellent organoleptic qualities.
