Aedes alternans is a species of mosquito belonging to the family Culicidae and the order Diptera. While primarily known in medical and veterinary entomology as a pest of humans and livestock, its presence in agricultural landscapes significantly impacts field operations and the general efficiency of farm labor due to its aggressive biting behavior.
