Bacchisa is a genus of longhorn beetles belonging to the family Cerambycidae and the subfamily Lamiinae. These insects are recognized as specialized wood-boring pests (xylophages) that primarily inhabit woody plants. Their presence in orchards, forests, and ornamental plantations can lead to significant physiological stress for the host vegetation.

The host range of Bacchisa includes a variety of tree and shrub species. These beetles are attracted to hosts that are already weakened by environmental stressors, such as drought, nutrient deficiency, or prior mechanical injury, though they can occasionally infest healthy specimens if the population density is sufficiently high.

The life cycle of these beetles typically involves the female depositing eggs into bark crevices. Upon hatching, the larvae immediately bore into the bark, transitioning to feed on the cambium and the inner xylem layers.
