Description

Systematic position. Bactra honesta belongs to the order Lepidoptera and the family Tortricidae. As a member of the leafroller moth group, this species is known for its ability to infest specific plant hosts by boring into their vegetative tissues during its larval stage.

Host plants. This pest primarily targets plants within the Cyperaceae family, such as sedges and rushes.
