Common toad

The common toad (Bufo bufo), belonging to the order Anura and the family Bufonidae, is frequently misunderstood in the agricultural sector. Far from being a pest, it is a highly beneficial organism that plays a vital role in natural pest control. The biology of Bufo bufo is characterized by a nocturnal lifestyle, which aligns perfectly with the activity cycles of many garden pests.
