Crops damaged: The primary impact is observed in marine aquaculture, particularly affecting crops like kelp and other edible algae. By attaching themselves to the fronds, these mollusks physically degrade the plant tissue, reducing the marketability and overall vitality of the harvested crop through continuous mechanical stress.
