These organisms are tiny parasitic wasps known for their role as egg parasitoids. Unlike agricultural pests, they are highly valued in integrated pest management (IPM) systems due to their ability to naturally regulate insect populations.

Biology and life cycle. The life cycle of this parasitoid is intricately linked to the eggs of its host. The female wasp locates the egg masses of stink bugs and oviposits inside each individual host egg. The developing larva consumes the contents of the egg, effectively preventing the pest from hatching. Target pests and crops. Cleruchoides primarily targets stink bugs (Pentatomidae), such as the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (Halyomorpha halys).
