Dendrocerus ramicornis is a species of insect belonging to the order Hymenoptera and the family Megaspilidae. Within the agricultural environment, it is categorized as a hyperparasitoid, meaning it targets the primary parasitoids that naturally control pest populations. This ecological role makes it a significant, albeit indirect, factor in the reduction of agricultural productivity.

This species impacts a variety of crops, including cereals, vegetables, and ornamental plants, where aphid populations are prevalent. By parasitizing the beneficial insects (such as braconids or aphidiids) that feed on aphids, the pest disrupts natural biological control.
