Ditrymacus is a genus of insects belonging to the order Coleoptera and the family Elateridae, commonly known as click beetles. In agronomy, the larvae of these beetles are classified as wireworms. They are significant soil-borne pests that pose a serious threat to the establishment of crops by feeding on the seeds, roots, and underground stems of various plants.

This pest affects a wide range of crops, including cereals, maize, potatoes, and various root vegetables. By tunneling through the root systems and bases of stems, Ditrymacus larvae cause severe thinning of plant populations.
