Dorysthenes granulosus is a species of longhorn beetle belonging to the family Cerambycidae and the order Coleoptera. This insect is recognized as a significant wood-boring pest that poses a threat to various deciduous trees, causing considerable economic losses in both orchard environments and forest plantations.

The host range of this beetle includes diverse woody species, with a preference for trees that are already suffering from environmental stress or poor management. The larvae, which are the primary destructive stage, tunnel deeply into the wood, effectively compromising the structural integrity of the trunks and roots of the host plants.
