Host crops. The pest primarily targets members of the Rosaceae family. It is commonly found infesting pome fruits such as apples, pears, and quinces, as well as stone fruits including peaches, plums, and cherries. When larvae target the stems and trunks, they interrupt vascular tissues, causing bark necrosis and structural weakening of the trees, which significantly impacts overall fruit production.
