Grapholita lobarzewskii, commonly known as the small fruit tortrix, belongs to the order Lepidoptera and the family Tortricidae. This insect is a significant pest of orchard crops, primarily recognized for its ability to damage fruit development and reduce the overall marketable yield of high-quality apples.

The primary host plants for this species include apple trees and, occasionally, pear trees. Because of its specific life cycle, it is often found in orchards that lack rigorous pest management programs.
