Lasiothyris is a genus of moths belonging to the family Tortricidae, order Lepidoptera. These insects are recognized as potential plant pests, as their larvae can cause significant damage to various agricultural and ornamental crops by feeding on internal plant tissues.

The pest primarily targets the reproductive organs of plants. Larvae bore into fruits or flower buds, creating internal galleries.
