Lioadalia is a genus belonging to the order Coleoptera and the family Coccinellidae. While the Coccinellidae family is widely known for beneficial predatory species, specific members of the Lioadalia genus are recognized for their potential to cause damage to agricultural crops, necessitating proper monitoring and targeted management in integrated pest control programs.

The primary hosts for this pest include various cereals, forage crops, and ornamental plants. The insects typically inhabit the foliage and stems of host plants.
