The genus Neodiploconus belongs to the Elateridae family, commonly known as click beetles, within the order Coleoptera. Adult beetles possess an elongated body and a unique mechanism that allows them to flip themselves over with a clicking sound if they are placed on their backs.
The larvae are responsible for the primary damage as they inhabit the soil profile.
