Panurgica is a genus of insects belonging to the order Hymenoptera and the family Andrenidae. While many hymenopterans act as pollinators, certain species within this genus can manifest as pests, affecting the reproductive development of specific flowering plants in agricultural landscapes.

The primary hosts of this pest include various species from the Asteraceae and Fabaceae families. Such feeding behavior interrupts the pollination process and compromises the structural integrity of the flowers. As a result, premature abscission of buds and malformed reproductive organs are common signs of infestation in affected fields.

Effective management strategies rely on cultural practices such as deep autumn plowing, which disrupts the nesting sites located in the soil profile. Additionally, the elimination of host weeds around field borders helps reduce local population pressure.
