Description

The Lesser Swallow Prominent (Pheosia tremula) belongs to the order Lepidoptera, family Notodontidae. It is a moth species distributed across the temperate zone of Eurasia, which in its larval stage can cause significant damage to various deciduous tree species.

The primary food sources for this pest are members of the Salicaceae family, particularly aspen, poplar, and various willow species. During periods of population outbreaks, the caterpillars may infest other broad-leaved trees, significantly reducing their aesthetic value and overall physiological health.
