Description
Systematic position: Squamura acutistriata belongs to the order Lepidoptera, within the family Cossidae (carpenter moths). This moth is recognized as a significant wood-boring pest that resides inside the trunks and branches of various trees, making it a challenging target for standard contact-based pest control methods.
Host plants: This pest primarily targets fruit trees, including pome and stone fruit species such as apples, pears, and plums.
