The Spotless starling (Sturnus unicolor) is a member of the Passeriformes order and the Sturnidae family. Distinguished from the common starling by its darker plumage and sedentary nature, this species poses a persistent threat to agricultural production, particularly in regions where it has established dense populations.

In terms of crop damage, the Spotless starling acts as a significant avian pest. It primarily targets vineyards, cherry orchards, and olive groves. During the ripening season, large flocks can cause devastating losses, consuming fruits and stripping entire branches in a short period, which leads to substantial financial impacts for farmers.
