Karanjin is a furanoflavonoid compound that serves as the primary bioactive ingredient found in the oil extracted from the seeds of Pongamia pinnata (commonly known as the karanja tree). As a naturally occurring substance, it is increasingly utilized in sustainable and organic agriculture as a potent bio-pesticide, offering an eco-friendly alternative to synthetic chemicals for managing pests and plant diseases.
