The primary mechanism of action involves the drastic reduction of the surface tension of spray solutions. This action allows the pesticide to spread evenly across the leaf surface, effectively wetting hydrophobic surfaces such as waxy cuticles or hairy leaves. By preventing droplets from bouncing or rolling off, it ensures maximum retention and absorption of the active pesticide ingredient.
