Penflufen

Penflufen is a highly active fungicidal substance belonging to the pyrazole-carboxamide chemical class. As an inhibitor of succinate dehydrogenase (SDHI), it represents a modern generation of crop protection products designed to control a wide range of fungal diseases in agriculture.

The primary purpose of penflufen is the protection of seeds and planting material. It is widely utilized as an active ingredient in seed treatment formulations for cereals and for the chemical treatment of potato tubers prior to planting, ensuring robust early-stage development of the crops.

The mechanism of action involves the targeted disruption of the fungal mitochondrial respiration process.
