Rock powder

Rock powder (also known as rock dust or stone meal) is a finely ground mineral material derived from volcanic or sedimentary rocks. In modern agriculture, it serves as a sustainable tool for soil remineralization and a physical barrier against various plant pests and pathogens, playing a vital role in regenerative farming systems.

The mechanism of action for rock powder is primarily physical and biochemical. When applied as a foliar treatment, the micro-particles coat the plant surfaces, creating a dry, abrasive environment that discourages insect colonization and prevents fungal spores from establishing infection sites.
