Soybean extract
Description
Soybean extract (Soybean extract) is a natural biologically active complex derived from the seeds or vegetative mass of Glycine max. In modern agronomy, it is classified as a biostimulant and a biological protection agent. It contains a unique blend of amino acids, peptides, isoflavones, and specific enzymes that significantly improve plant immune systems and overall vitality.
The mechanism of action for soybean extract is based on the induction of Systemic Acquired Resistance (SAR) in plants. The extract's components act as signaling molecules that are recognized by plant cell receptors, triggering the production of phytoalexins and pathogenesis-related proteins. This mechanism does not directly kill pests but makes the plant tissues hostile to pathogens and increases tolerance to environmental stresses.
The primary use of soybean extract is to enhance resistance against a wide range of fungal and bacterial diseases, including powdery mildew, septoria, and various rots. It is also actively used as an anti-stress agent following the application of synthetic pesticides, extreme heat, or frost. It further supports the plant's ability to efficiently uptake essential nutrients from the soil substrate.
This substance is effectively applied to vegetable, fruit, and grain crops. The best agronomic results are achieved through foliar application during critical development stages, such as blooming, fruit set, or periods of rapid vegetative growth. It is highly recommended to combine its use with balanced micro-fertilizer programs to maximize the synergistic biological effect.
When handling soybean extract-based products, standard safety precautions should be maintained despite their organic origin. Although the substances are generally safe for humans, animals, and pollinators, contact with skin and eyes should be avoided, and standard personal protective equipment is recommended. The concentrate should be stored in a cool, dark place to prevent the breakdown of its active enzymatic components.
