Post-control
Post-control in agronomy is the systematic assessment of the efficacy of pesticides and agrochemicals applied to crops after a specific period following the treatment.

The main purpose of post-control is to verify the results of field operations. Agronomists evaluate the mortality rate of weeds, pests, or disease suppression levels to ensure the treatment met its objectives.
The procedure is typically performed 7–14 days after application. It involves scouting the entire field to identify any areas where the product failed to perform, which helps in deciding on follow-up actions or adjusting future protection plans.
Common mistakes include assessing the field too early before the product has had sufficient time to act, or failing to account for environmental stressors that might mask the actual efficacy of the chemicals.
