A common mistake is operating outside the manufacturer's recommended pressure range. If the pressure is too high, the spray creates excessively fine droplets that are prone to evaporation and wind drift; if it is too low, the spray pattern may be uneven, leading to streaks and poor product distribution.
Always verify gauge accuracy to ensure the intended application volume is being applied. Proper pressure management is critical when switching between different types of nozzles, such as air-induction or flat-fan nozzles, to maintain the desired efficacy of herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides.
