Perez's sea lavender (Limonium perezii) is a perennial ornamental plant belonging to the Plumbaginaceae family. Unlike other statice varieties, this species is highly valued for its large, deep violet flower clusters and robust, leathery foliage, making it a premium choice for the professional dried flower industry.

Native to the Canary Islands, this plant is well-adapted to mild, coastal climates. In commercial agriculture, it is cultivated primarily in regions with Mediterranean-like conditions characterized by abundant sunlight and temperate winters. While it can be grown as a perennial in frost-free areas, it is frequently treated as an annual or greenhouse crop in colder regions to ensure consistent production.

Limonium perezii is naturally drought-tolerant once established, meaning it thrives with minimal irrigation. Excessive soil moisture is the primary cause of crop failure, as it inevitably leads to root and crown rot; therefore, providing excellent drainage and proper aeration is essential.
