Host plants. The primary host for this pathogen is the hyacinth (Hyacinthus). This fungus specifically thrives on the tissues of bulbous flowers, making it a significant concern for both ornamental gardeners and commercial bulb growers. Symptoms and signs of infection. The infection begins as small, light brown spots on the leaves.
