Description

Indonesian soybean dwarf is a serious viral disease affecting soybean production, caused by the Indonesian soybean dwarf virus (ISDV). This pathogen is known to cause significant economic losses in the regions where it occurs by stunting growth and severely reducing seed yield.

The primary host for this disease is the soybean (Glycine max). The virus interferes with the host plant's metabolic pathways, leading to structural abnormalities and reduced biomass production, which eventually prevents the plant from reaching its full physiological potential.

Typical symptoms of infection include severe dwarfing, shortened internodes, and leaf discoloration such as chlorosis or yellowing.
