Description
Aster "Celebration" is a popular annual with a compact upright bush up to 60–65 cm tall. The plant features large inflorescences up to 10–12 cm in diameter, in a soft pink color, blooming in mid-August and continuing to flower until cold weather.
To grow the "Celebration" aster, choose well-lit areas with fertile loamy or sandy-loam soil. Sow seeds in March-April, either in a greenhouse/hothouse or directly into open ground in April-May at 18–21 °C. When using the seedling method, transplant seedlings after the first pair of true leaves appears, using a 5×5 cm spacing scheme, then plant in open ground from mid-May to early June. Winter sowing at a depth of 5–8 cm with subsequent mulching is also possible.
The "Celebration" aster has high cold hardiness and withstands frosts down to –3…–4 °C, making it suitable for use in flowerbeds, flower borders, rabatka beds, and for cut flowers. The distance between plants is typically 30×40 cm, and the plant height remains stable within 60–65 cm. Thanks to its bright inflorescences and cold resistance, the plant is an excellent choice for garden compositions and bouquets.
