Description
Lidia is an exquisite aster that captivates with its modesty and harmony in every flower. The inflorescences are spherical, large (diameter 9‑13 cm) and a rich ruby-red shade. They consist of densely arranged conical petals that do not get under raindrops, thanks to which the flower retains its brightness even in bad weather.
The plant reaches a height of up to 60 centimeters and has a dense stem with 6‑8 stems. Each stem bears a large double flower, and the stems themselves are painted in a dark-brown shade, which gives the composition additional depth. Lidia is perfect for decorating flower beds and rabatok, and also looks wonderful in a cut – it retains an attractive appearance in a vase for a long time.
Agrotechnical recommendations: the plant prefers an open sunny place, but grows successfully in partial shade. The best results are achieved on light, fertile soils. It is important not to apply organic fertilizers in the year of planting. Seeds are sown from mid-February to April, burying them to a depth of 0.5 cm. At a temperature of +20 °C, seedlings appear in 7‑14 days, and after 3‑4 weeks, the seedlings are planted in the second half of May, leaving a distance of about 20 cm between plants.
