Description
CHELYABINSKIY 100 is a medium-late spring barley variety belonging to the nodding type, primarily intended for brewing purposes. The variety's vegetative period ranges from 65 to 92 days depending on the growing region, allowing it to adapt to various climatic conditions. Plants have an average height of 58 to 90 cm, with a thin and resilient stem, upright bush form, and dark green leaves. The grain is elongated-elliptical, large, and straw-yellow in color, with a 1000-grain mass varying from 38 to 52 grams. The protein content in the grain ranges from 10.6% to 15.6%, making the variety valuable in terms of quality for the brewing industry. The variety is characterized by moderate resistance to lodging and drought, as well as moderate susceptibility to diseases such as helminthosporiosis, root rots, and powdery bunt. At the same time, it is noted for weak infection by powdery mildew, dwarf rust, and other fungal diseases, which contributes to stable yields. Productive bushiness is high, and the stem is distinguished by elasticity and strength, which reduces the risk of lodging. The average yield of the variety in various regions is about 25.6 centners per hectare, with maximum indicators reaching up to 53.2 centners per hectare, which exceeds the regional averages. CHELYABINSKIY 100 is recommended for cultivation in the Ural, West Siberian, Central Black Earth, North Caucasus, and Volga regions, which testifies to its good adaptability to various climatic conditions. Due to its qualities and resistance, the variety is widely used in the brewing industry and can also be used for feed purposes. Its high productivity and resistance to adverse factors make CHELYABINSKIY 100 a reliable choice for agricultural producers seeking to obtain high-quality and stable barley yields.
